Gem Finder

Project overview
Proof-of-concept mobile app for discovering local adventures and activities created by other users, combining location-based discovery, reviews and paid content unlocking.
Discovering things to do nearby
Gemfinder was designed around making it easier to find interesting activities beyond the usual tourist attractions. Users could browse adventures posted by others in their surrounding area and discover new places and experiences based on their location.
A marketplace for local experiences
Instead of making every activity freely available, users could pay a small fee to unlock the full details of an adventure. This created a simple marketplace where contributors could share valuable local knowledge while users only paid for experiences they were interested in.
Building trust through community feedback
Reviews from other users helped people evaluate an activity before unlocking it. By combining location, user-generated content and community ratings, the concept explored how local recommendations could become a more trustworthy and engaging discovery experience.
