Project overview
Full-stack platform for unmanned retail stores, allowing customers to authenticate with Mobilt BankID, unlock a store, scan products and complete their purchase entirely through a mobile app.
From identity verification to checkout
I designed the complete customer journey from first launch to completed purchase. Customers authenticate using Mobilt BankID, gain access to the store, scan the products they want to buy and pay directly in the app without any staff involvement.
Connecting the physical store to the cloud
Each store runs dedicated software on a Raspberry Pi that communicates with the backend infrastructure and controls store-side hardware. This creates the bridge between the mobile app, cloud services and the physical store environment.
Operations beyond the customer app
The platform also includes tools for store owners to manage inventory and follow sales, customer activity and store performance. Combined with user tracking and camera surveillance, the system provides the operational layer required to run an unmanned store.
